TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail matters. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
